The Tchefuncta Country Club in Covington, Louisiana, a member-owned, full-service private country club established over half a century ago, has an immediate opening for an enthusiastic and accomplished General Manager.

The Club, located in an upscale gated community just north of Lake Ponchartrain about a half-hour's drive from downtown New Orleans, offers its members 18 holes of meticulously manicured championship golf (supported by a large putting green practice area, complete driving range, and recently constructed state-of-the-art indoor instructional facility), 6 tennis courts that feature Nova Cushion technology, a completely remodeled and heated six-lane swimming pool, and a 24/7 secure card access fitness center. The recently constructed 25,000 square-foot clubhouse, offering an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere throughout, features several gracious yet relaxed dining rooms and multiple banquet spaces for special member and private events.

Presently there are approximately 420 dues-paying members in all categories contributing to an annual gross operating income of approximately $3.2 million dollars. Annual Food and beverage sales are approximately $700,000.

The General Manager reports directly to the Club President and is responsible for all club activities. The ideal candidate will be a leader who possesses the energy, desire and ability to appropriately interact in a professional and friendly manner with the members of the Club, their guests and the staff. He/she will be genuinely people-oriented, highly “visible”, and readily accessible and responsive to the membership. The chosen candidate will also have excellent service, food and beverage, membership and banquet “marketing”, financial/cost control, organizational and human resource skills. The ability to successfully handle multiple responsibilities with meticulous attention to detail and demonstrated “follow through” is essential. The club currently has a number of excellent, long-tenured employees in place who can and will help make the management transition a smooth one.

Salary and benefits are commensurate with the position and club location, as well as the selected candidate’s demonstrated professional abilities and experience.
